Attack on Tech
As a parent, seeing your child spending lots of time playing on tablets, phones and consoles can be worrying. Many of us feel that being active, being outside and playing sport is better for childrens physical development. While physical activity and participation in sports continue to play a very important part in children’s development, most parents and carers do rely on screen devices to engage their child while they’re busy with something else.
Exercise can improve a child’s ability to improve their focus on a task. Regualr physical activity helps childrn think better therefore, improving attention. 60 minutes of vigorous activity for children could allow them to retain more information and potentially improve their academic performance.
It allows them to Sleep better –It’s obvious that children that exercise more will sleep more as they tire themselves out. Recent research has discovered that people who exercise regularly get a better quality of sleep. Children require 8-9 hours of sleep a night and regular exercise will allow them to sleep deeper, feeling rejuvenated for the next day.
Improve behaviour – Exercise is proven to improve behaviour children and allow them to think clearer and make better decisions. According to research through exercise, your child will experience increased levels of endorphins and norepinephrine, which are hormones that improve self-esteem and better mood. This almost always means that children behave better being calmer and kinder.
